There has been so much excitement at the farm last week – our much-loved Blacknose Valais sheep have welcomed new life into the world. We now have two little boys and one sweet girl, all healthy and happy alongside their mums.
Watching these tiny lambs take their first wobbly steps has been such a joy. They’re already full of energy, following their mums around the paddock, and bringing smiles to everyone who visits. It’s a special reminder of why we do what we do here – caring for animals and sharing those moments of wonder with the community.
Growing Up With Love
For now, the lambs are staying close to their mums, learning, growing, and soaking up all the attention from visitors who are lucky enough to spot them. There’s nothing quite like seeing the bond between ewe and lamb – gentle, nurturing, and so full of love.
We also have our two cheeky hand-reared boys, Ralph and Sam. These characters have quickly become everyone’s favourites. Because they’ve been raised with extra human care, they absolutely adore people – they trot straight over for cuddles, scratches, and even enjoy posing for photos. They’re proof of just how affectionate and interactive this breed can be.
A Special Time on the Farm
Moments like these – new life, growing families, and the laughter of visitors as they meet our animals – are what make the farm feel so special. The Blacknose Valais sheep have such a unique way of connecting with people. Their gentle natures and fluffy faces never fail to brighten someone’s day.
These lambs are already part of the farm family, and we can’t wait to watch them grow alongside our other rescue animals. Every season brings new stories here, but spring lambs will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
